The opening ceremony of the Roh Moo-hyun Civic Center was held in Wonseo-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 23rd at 2 pm.
It was built to commemorate the will of former President Roh Moo-hyun, who emphasized the role of citizens and political participation, and is also the place where 60,000 supporters have aspirations.
About 120 people attended the opening ceremony, including first lady Kwon Yang-sook and Roh Seo-eun, granddaughter of former President Roh, and his family, Chung Sye-kyun, chairman of the Roh Moo-hyung Foundation, Lee Hae -chan , former leader of the Democratic Party, and former Prime Minister Han Myung-sook.
Chairman Jeong Sye-kyun said, “As President Roh said, the Roh Moo-hyun Civic Center will start anew in Jongno as a place that creates the foundation of Korean politics and a space that fosters the power of civic democracy. ”
