US and Chinese diplomats met again after more than two months.

The issue of Taiwan, which has grown in conflict since US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, is at the heart of the agenda.

Secretary Blincoln emphasized the ‘one China’ policy, saying he was working to maintain peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.

This is to appease China’s backlash after President Biden recently announced that he would step in to defend Taiwan if the Chinese invaded.

In response, Director Wang Yi emphasized that his position is consistent and clear that he will continue to maintain the basic policy of peaceful unification and one country, two systems.

At the same time, the United States insisted on returning to the three major joint declarations between China and the United States and the “one China” principle.

They also encouraged them to clearly state their opposition to Taiwan independence and separatist activities.

The current positions of the United States and China on the Taiwan issue have been reaffirmed.

Before this, Secretary Blincol met with Ministers of the Quadruple Bureau, a consultative body to contain China, and put indirect pressure on China.

The two sides also discussed the issue of war in Ukraine, with the United States warning that there would be consequences for China’s support for Russia.
