There is a young writer in his 30s who has been nominated for the British Booker Prize, one of the world’s three major literary prizes, and who has won the title of the youngest writer nominated in Korea.
Park Sang-young is an author who writes sexual minority and queer literature.
Reporter Cha Jeong-yoon met author Park Sang-young, who became a best-selling author with stories about minorities.

A novelist who became an instant star author by being nominated for the Booker International Prize within six years of his debut.
I’m Park Sang-young, a 34-year-old writer who writes queer literature.
As an unapologetically honest and pleasant novel manuscript, the secret to box office success was fun.

From ‘Love in the Big City’ to ‘About Faith’, the so-called ‘Love Trilogy’ contains stories about same-sex couples that are no different to meeting and breaking up than any other couple.
Although it deals with the story of sexual minorities, due to the three-dimensional characters and the power of the story the book is read as if it had been sucked in.

Nevertheless, the characters and narratives in the novel are not light.
The solid plot and delicate emotional portrayal is due to keen attention and observational skills.

A genre novel such as socialist mystery and science fiction is the next work of a young writer who loves the novels of Nobel Prize winner Ani Erno, the master of mystery novels Agatha Christie, and Park Wan-seo.
He is busy working on radio and entertainment programmes, but says he wants to meet readers with a new book more than anything else.
