[인포스탁데일리=김영택 기자] Vice Chairman Cha Seok-yong, who has led LG Household & Health Care for the past 18 years, will step down.
Vice Chairman Cha Seok-yong succeeded Vice Chairman Lee Jeong-ae, who is currently in charge of the beverage business division, and was promoted to president.
Vice President Lee Jung-ae has become symbolic as she is the first female president of the LG Group.
LG Household & Health Care held a board of directors meeting today and held regular personnel appointments.
Lee Jung-ae, the new CEO, joined LG Household & Health Care after being a public servant of LG Group in 1986 and has worked in various fields such as household goods and cosmetics business.
In particular, he was recognized for his ability by successfully establishing and cultivating luxury cosmetics brands such as ‘Who’, ‘Sum’, and ‘Ohui’ in the market.
LG Household & Health Care explained, “The new president Lee Jung-ae has a high level of understanding of the business and the entire organization.”
The term of Vice Chairman Cha Seok-yong, who led LG Household & Health Care for the past 18 years, was set to expire in 2025, but he is said to have decided to step down eventually.
Vice Chairman Cha Seok-yong has been leading LG Household & Health Care since 2005, achieving good results every year and has excellent management skills.
Choi Yang-oh, head of ISD’s Corporate Policy Research Institute, explained, “However, since 2020, we have been experiencing difficulties at home and abroad, including in China, due to Corona 19.”
This year, as the decline in performance continued due to the re-proliferation and containment of Corona 19 in China, attention was focused on the future.
