The National Police Agency’s Special Investigation Headquarters, which is investigating the Itaewon disaster, has recently completed applications for arrest warrants for suspects, and announced that it will try to secure additional recruits early next week.

Since then, the investigation into the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the Seoul Metropolitan Government has been mentioned, raising the possibility that the investigation will gradually come to a head.

The special department plans to apply for additional warrants next week.

Who are you specifically targeting?

[기자]

Yes, the special issue announced that it would be applying for arrest warrants for those involved with agencies other than the police early next week, and is focusing on target selection.

As it is explained that there is a high possibility of being targeted if the charges are dismissed, comments that Yongsan-gu Park Hee-young and Choi Seong-beom, Yongsan’s Chief Fire Officer, are likely to be influential.

Previously, the special version tried to secure new recruits for four police suspects, including Lee Im-jae, the former chief of the Yongsan Police Station.

The focus is on the results of the warrant review, which is only two days away.

Yesterday morning, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Commissioner Kim Gwang-ho was summoned as a suspect.

When was the investigation completed?

[기자]

Yes, it was discovered that Kim Gwang-ho, the head of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, who was accused of neglect of duty, returned home around 8:00 last night after an investigation that lasted about 10 hours.

Commissioner Kim has been accused of an inadequate response as she took no action after receiving a report that she lacked experience in pursuing riot police before the Halloween incident.

In addition, criticism is raised that the first report was only received after about an hour and 20 minutes after the disaster occurred, delaying the correction.

Previously, the Yongsan Police Station ‘asked for the riot squad’ and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency was ‘never’ asked, and it was said that an investigation was carried out on this part as well as a battle of truth.

With the prosecution of Commissioner Kim Kwang-ho as an opportunity, attention is focused on how far the ‘top line’ investigation will go, and the special edition announced that it will begin the investigation in earnest next week, calling on the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Officials of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security as references.

He also mentioned that he is investigating police chief Yoon Hee-geun with all possibilities open.

In the midst of this, the National Police Agency’s special inspection team found that some of the eleven 112 calls before the disaster had been faked, and asked two Itaewon police box team leaders to investigate.

After receiving the report from the Situation Room of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, it was found that they entered the system as if they had been instructed to consult, without having to call the reporter separately.

In addition, it was also revealed that the record was made to appear as if it had actually gone out without actually being sent to the location.

So far, I have told you about it in the first part of society.
