[영상] On the day Putin admitted a ‘mistake in recruiting,’ I saw a video posted on social media by the Ukrainian

(Seoul = Yonhap News) “In Vladivostok, you even have to break into your home to serve a conscription notice”

On the 29th (local time), Ukraine’s assistant to the Minister of the Interior, Anton Gerashenko, posted a video on Twitter with a comment mocking Russia’s mobilization of reserve forces.

The video showed a man in uniform entering the building through a window.

It has not been confirmed who the man in the video is or why he is doing this, but foreign media reported that many Russians have fled the country to escape coercion, but some choose to hide at home.

It is estimated that at least 200,000 Russians have fled the country since Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a partial mobilization.

Opposition to the mobilization order is spreading like wildfire, with protests continuing across the country and dozens of attacks targeting the conscription centre.

There was also a claim that even those who were not fit to serve, such as the elderly and disabled, were being conscripted indiscriminately in enforcing the mobilization order.

As internal turmoil ensued, President Vladimir Putin admitted there had been flawed recruitment practices.

According to foreign media such as Reuters, Putin ordered the general prosecutor to respond immediately to violations, saying, “All mistakes made in the process of implementing the partial mobilization order must be corrected and prevented from happening again.”
