[영상] Putin signs final annexation of occupied territories … The Japoriza nuclear power plant has also been nationalized.

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Russian President Vladimir Putin finally signed a law on the annexation of occupied territories in Ukraine on the 5th (local time).

This concludes all legal proceedings in Russia for the annex.

Putin completed the annexation of the occupied territories by signing a law on the annexation of four regions: Donetsk, Lugansk (Ukrainian name Luhansk), Kherson and Zaporiza sent by the Russian Parliament.

“Despite the current tragedy, we always have and still have great respect for the Ukrainian people,” Putin said.

President Putin signed an annexation agreement on the 30th of the same month when the occupied territories decided to annex Russia by referendum on the 23rd and 27th of last month.

On the 2nd, the Constitutional Court made a decision on the constitution of the agreement, and Parliament and the House of Representatives subsequently ratified the agreement.

In addition to the final signing of the merger, Putin also issued a presidential decree to nationalize the Zaporiza nuclear power plant in Ukraine as Russian assets.

However, Ukraine has not recognized annexation and continues its offensive of territorial restoration. Immediately after the annexation agreement was signed, Lehman was found, a key point going to the eastern Luhansk Oblast, and the southern Kherson Oblast broke through the front line about 30 km along the Dnipro River.

The West has also condemned the annexation as a breach of international law and is pushing for arms aid to Ukraine and additional sanctions against Russia.

Russia is threatening to use nuclear weapons to defend annexed territories.

In response, the West, including the United States, warned that the use of nuclear weapons would come at a serious cost along with a decisive response.
