[오피셜] ‘Walkle Midfielder’ Olympiacos joins, Hwang Ui-jo and Hwang In-beom and Hansotbap

[골닷컴] Reporter Dong-Ho Kim = Top-class midfielder James Rodriguez moves to Olympiacos.

Olympiacos announced on its official website on the 16th (Korea time) that it “announces the signing of another world-famous soccer star, James Rodriguez.”

James is an attacking midfielder who rose to prominence thanks to his outstanding performances at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Capitalizing on his World Cup performances in Brazil, he moved to Real Madrid, where he won La Liga twice and the Champions League once.

But his time at Real did not last long. When he couldn’t find a place, he went on loan to Germany’s strongest team, Bayern Munich, and contributed to the team’s second league win in a row. He also joined Everton under coach Ancelotti during his time at Real, but later moved to Al Rayan, United Arab Emirates.

After turning around and beating on the European stage again, James eventually ended up wearing the Olympiacos uniform. Korean players Hwang Ui-jo and Hwang In-beom play in Olympiacos, and since Marcelo’s real-time teammate is there, it seems easy for James to adapt.

Also, for Hwang In-beom, a new position competitor appeared and he was faced with a situation where he had to eat with a world-class midfielder. From the point of view of the forward Hwang Ui-jo, he expected James to serve as a special assistant. They joined Olympiacos side by side in the summer transfer window.

Olympiacos played a home game against Freiburg in the second leg of the Europa League group straight after signing James. James watched the game from the stands with new signing Marcelo. However, Olympiacos lost 3-0 to Freiburg. Hwang Ui-jo started and Hwang In-beom was absent.
