The ruling and the opposition parties have resumed negotiations on next year’s government budget bill, which has already passed the legal deadline.

The matter is still pending, and the controversy surrounding the dismissal of Minister Lee Sang-min overlaps, and trouble is expected until the regular session of the National Assembly on the 9th.

The heads of the management committee and opposition policy committees and secretaries of the budget committee apologized side by side for failing to meet the statutory deadline when resuming discussions on the budget bill.

The people say they are not familiar with it, and they are somehow determined to agree on the budget bill by tomorrow (today) and deal with it in the plenary this week, but there is still a difference in the situation on the matter.

The ruling and opposition parties are sharpening their teeth over the opening of the president’s office and Yongsan Park, public rental housing and the budget of the police department, and disagreements over the corporate tax and the comprehensive real estate tax, which supplementary to the budget, has been narrowed.

Even with the budget proposal, the way to go is a busy one, but the situation gets more twisted with the proposal to sack Minister Lee Sang-min from the Ministry of Public Administration and Security .

People’s Power warned that the Democratic Party would cancel the dismissal of Minister Lee Sang-min and propose an impeachment bill, and if this happens, the budget bill will not be processed.

The Democratic Party, which does not throw the impeachment prosecution card together with the re-offering of the motion to dismiss, has repeatedly drawn the line, saying that the budget bill and the censure of Minister Lee are separate.

The ruling and opposition parties have come together again to process the budget within the usual National Assembly until the 9th, but it does not seem easy until the budget bill crosses the threshold of the National Assembly.
