10 awesome movies coming to Netflix this weekend

The first day of the month is a great day for movie lovers. Just when you seem to have exhausted all the options available on your favorite streaming app, a host of new movies are added to services like Netflix

, Amazon Prime

, Hulu and HBO with each new month.

And on August 1st it will be no different. So many new movies will be released on Netflix this weekend, with dozens of others coming up later this month.

This article will highlight ten great choices from this weekend’s lineup. So at the end of the article, you will find all the other movies coming to Netflix this weekend.

Be John Malkovich

Charlie Kaufman and Spike Jonze’s team couldn’t do anything wrong. Before the Oscar Adaptation, that team of screenwriters and directors gave the world what was perhaps the strangest film of 1999: Be John Malkovich. The film is played by John Malkovich himself, whose mind can be inhabited by a secret portal in an office building.

An education

Before 2009, Carey Mulligan was definitely an actress on the rise in Hollywood, but An education cemented its status. She received an Oscar nomination for best actress for her performance in the film. An education finds his teenage character involved in a relationship with an older man.

Elizabeth Harvest

This sci-fi / thriller film went largely unnoticed in 2018. An independent IFC Films story, Elizabeth Harvest presents a noteworthy performance by Abbey Lee Kershaw, who plays a girl named Elizabeth. While on vacation with her husband in her luxurious estate, she is forbidden to enter a specific room, for good reason.

Eternal light of the pure mind

Charlie Kaufman is back! But this time the writer is paired with the French director Michel Gondry for Eternal light of the pure mind. A bizarre and wonderful film, this bizarre romantic comedy follows a man named Joel (played by Jim Carrey) who discovers that his girlfriend, Clementine (played by Kate Winslet), has undergone a procedure that erases him from his memory. He therefore decides to undergo the procedure himself.

The Jurassic Park trilogy

The Jurassic World films have become international sensations, accumulating insane amounts of money at every turn. In fact, recent ones added to Jurassic the canon seems to be even more popular than The lost world: Jurassic Park is Jurassic Park III—What a shame, because all three of the original Jurassic Park movies are a real enchantment. I would encourage everyone to join them, as they will all be available on Netflix this weekend.

the tale of a knight

If you were a child who grew up in the late 90s or early 2000s, you were enchanted by Heath Ledger, which most likely meant you loved the tale of a knight. This playful adventure / comedy features an extraordinarily rock soundtrack that marks the journey of a young farmer to become a knight.

Nights in Rodanthe

2008 was definitely the end of this type of film. Led by two important actors from the early days of Hollywood, Nights in Rodanthe it’s a moving, dramatic love story from the mind of Nicholas Sparks. The film stars Richard Gere and Diane Lane who play two people who accidentally meet at a local inn as a storm approaches.

Nights in Rodanthe will be available for streaming on Netflix on August 1st.

Ocean’s Twelve / Ocean’s Thirteen

obviously Ocean’s Eleven this is where it all started for Steven Soderbergh’s version in the classic team of extravagant thieves. But, in my humble opinion, the sequels to that first film—Ocean’s Twelve is Ocean’s Thirteen—I don’t have enough love. Soderbergh continues to give body to his wildly interesting characters in those second and third films and finds new hilarious and fun ways to carry out elaborate robberies.

Hardcore Henry

First-person movies can go really well … or terribly, horribly wrong. Things started off great in 1947, when the Delmer Daves movie Dark passage he used first-person perspective for an exhilarating effect. And similar movies Hardcore Henry they continued to find new and interesting ways to make the stylistic choice more fun and watchable.

What keeps you alive

This thriller didn’t make a lot of noise when it was released in 2018. But two years later, this IFC Midnight LGBT movie could receive a (well-deserved) second life on Netflix. The film centers on a couple celebrating their first anniversary in a hut in the woods. But just when the vacation begins, one of the women reveals a dark side of herself.
