6 superhero teams will define the MCU of the post-infinity saga

The first three phases of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been used to introduce various superheroes – large galaxies, all with different extraordinary capabilities. But, at the end of the saga, each pivot member fought side by side. They became the Avengers, combining their efforts to defeat the biggest and nastiest threat that has ever been: Thanos and his army of scary fighters. However, going forward, multiple superhero teams may feature in smaller mixed movies, changing the approach to the landscape.

Based on the information available, Phase 4 will likely lay the groundwork for five separate superhero teams in the MCU. And while various heroes can dip their toes into other teams, helping out if necessary, the lines dividing the groups should become fairly distinct.

1. The A-Force

Captain Marvel – whose presence will likely be used to represent the MCU in the future – will no doubt take charge of A-Force: the all-female superhero team in the comics. With She-hulk on the horizon, Natalie Portman will become Mighty Thor, and Mrs Marvel coming to Disney +, this whole team is almost united.

And let’s not forget that Valkyrie recently became the king of Asgard. Captain Marvel may be a main avenger, but she will likely lead this specific group of heroes on intergalactic missions.

2. New Avengers / Young Avengers

Now that Tony Stark and Captain America have said goodbye to the MCU, main Avengers team will start to adopt a different look. And, if the kids are ready to take the reins, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man could end up leading the team.

As for the likely culprits, fans might expect Iron Lad (likely to be described by Iron man 3 Ty Simpkins), apparitions of Mrs Marvel (who watches Spidey in the comics), and perhaps Kate Bishop, who will enter the landscape via Hawk Eye. And, if the rumors surrounding Loki prove true – that he will get stuck in his childhood form in Thor: Love and thunder Kevin Feige may be considering bringing him in the evening as a changed boy-man.

3. The Illuminati

According to Mikey Sutton, insider from Marvel and DC, Doctor Strange will begin to assemble his team of highly intelligent individuals the multiverse of madness. As for those destined to join, Mr. Fantastic / Reed Richards and Professor X will enter the landscape via this team, creating a path to their respective groups in the MCU.

4. The X-Men

Now that the Fox / Disney merger has placed the X-Men under the watchful eye of Kevin Fiege, it goes without saying that they will join the landscape in the near future. However, their mode of entry remains undefined, as some rumors suggest that Storm will be the first to join via Black panther 2, while others point to Professor X.

5. The fantastic four

With the rumor that Mr. Fantastic will join the MCU in phase 4, it is only a matter of time until his family of explorers takes their side. From the human torch to the thing and the invisible woman, it will be interesting to see who plays each character. If the fans are successful, John Krasinksi and Emily Blunt will perform Reed Richards and Sue Storm respectively.

6. The Thunderbolts

While the Thunderbolts team is sometimes good and sometimes bad, it deserves a place on this list. They will likely retain a narrative impact after Black Widow prequel. Rumor has it that a post-credits scene Black Widow will present General Ross’s plan for a Thunderbolts team, with Black Widow of Yelena Belova as member one.
