Marayur: A Forest Department watchman died after falling during sandal protection work. Subramanian (62), a ten-house resident of Marayur, died. Marayur had been working as a temporary watchman in Chandana Division for about 15 years.
Four days ago, Chandana collapsed during the night during conservation work. The forest rangers immediately took him to a private hospital in Marayur and after initial treatment, he died in Udumalpet and later in Coimbatore.
