Thiruvananthapuram: A youth who went missing from Kottayam was found hanging dead in a rubber plantation in Thiruvananthapuram. James Varghese, a native of Kottayam, was found dead in a rubber gully near Pirapankode International Swimming Pool, Thiruvananthapuram. The police concluded that the body of the dead was two days old.
James Varghese went missing from Kottayam a few days ago. The Kottayam East Police have registered a case in this regard and are conducting an investigation. Meanwhile, on Wednesday morning, the local people found the body of the young man in a rubber plantation. The police identified the deceased as James Varghese. James Varghese’s car was also found parked on the nearby road.
The police concluded that the youth arrived at the rubber plantation on Monday afternoon. On Monday afternoon, MC The police have also obtained the CCTV footage of him walking towards the rubber plantation after stopping the car on the road. The young man’s mobile phone was also found from the dead body.
The police believe the young man took his own life on Monday afternoon. It is also suspected that there was an attempt to film a suicide on a mobile phone. Police are examining the mobile phone which was found at the scene.
