In July 2020, chief prosecutor Jeong Jin-woong, the chief prosecutor in the ‘Channel A’ case, attempted to seize the iPhone of Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon, who was suspected of being involved.

They were arguing with each other and rolling on the floor.
A prosecutor complained that a public official conducting an investigation assaulted him, and Prosecutor Jung said he was injured and even released photos of the hospital stay.
The unprecedented case of ‘attack on the violent prosecutor’ went to court.
The first trial acknowledged the attack by Prosecutor Chung, but the appeal court acquitted, saying, “Deliberate abuse from the prosecutor’s point of view is not recognized.”
After 2 years and 4 months of the incident, the final judgment of the Supreme Court was not guilty.
It was an accidental situation, but it is difficult to see that it was intentional.
Minister Han said, “As a victim, it’s hard to understand, but I respect the Supreme Court’s ruling,” but the investigation team gained an advantage at the time.
“The judgment does not mean that there is justification for carrying out duties at the time,” he argued, “and we must reflect on it in order not to repeat the mistake.”
At the time, the investigation team was also face to face.
Lee Jung-hyun, head of the investigation team at the time, pointed out that “Minister Han Dong-hoon was not cooperating with the judicial process, and it was an accidental incident,” but “he accused Minister Han as if it happened. the violence of malicious power.”
In addition, he insisted that “those who try to hide their sins in order to take revenge must show responsibility.”
