Amazon is set to end its online learning academy in India

Amazon is about to close the online learning academy in India. The online learning academy started for high school students is expected to close within two years of operation. Amazon did not specify the reason behind the decision.

Amazon Academy started when virtual learning became important during the age of Covid. Amazon Academy also provided coaching for JEE exams. Amazon has decided to phase out operations.

Ever since the lockdown, the crisis has been severe in all online learning platforms. Among these, Bejus, the leading company, has decided to lay off around 2,500 workers. The same goes for other leading online learning platforms such as UnAcademy, Vedantu and VetHat Junior.

Earlier, Amazon had initiated measures to reduce the number of employees stating that the company was not profitable. All the big companies are trying to reduce the number of employees.
