Bahrain International Air Shock Ends | Pravasi | Deshabhimani

Manama > The 6th Bahrain International Airshow concludes with impressive images on land and in the air. More than 185 companies and more than 30 countries, including India, participated in the Air Show held at Sakhir Air Base. The curtain fell on Air Shock, marking a boom in business, networking, growth and information sharing opportunities.

Inaugurated by the Prime Minister and Crown Prince of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the air show saw countries and companies, including aviation giants, showcase their latest aviation technologies and services. 200 civilian and military representatives attended. Deals and contracts worth billions of dollars were born at the air show. The India Pavilion was inaugurated by Ambassador Piyush Srivastava. Israeli companies, including Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), participated in the air show for the first time.

A flying exhibition was held by international flying teams for more than three hours a day. Bahrain Air Force Flight, Saudi Air Force Typhoon, Global Stars Aerobatic Team, Pakistan Air Force JF-17, United Arab Emirates Air Force F16, Mirage 2000, Al Fursan, America’s F16, Para Motor Solo Display, Saudi Huax, DHL Flypast, Britain’s Red Arrows and others took part in the aerial exercise.

Unlike the 5th Air Show, this year there has been a huge increase in the number of companies taking part. The air show was organized by the Ministry of Transport, Bahrain Communications, Royal Bahrain Air Force and Farren Burrow International Limited. The Bahrain Air Show is organized once in two years. Various programs were also organized for children and families.
