Becoming friends with dementia | Johns Creek, GA Patch

This post was provided by a community member.

This webinar is presented by the Dementia Spotlight Foundation and is sponsored by Vineyard Assisted Living & Memory Care of Johns Creek, Georgia.

Dementia Friends is a global movement that is changing the way people think, act and talk about dementia. By helping everyone in a community understand what dementia is and how it affects families, each of us can make a difference for those affected by dementia. You become a friend of dementia by attending a one-hour information session led by a sample of dementia friends and anyone can be a friend of dementia: businesses, religious communities, health professionals, students, everyone!

Join us and become part of this movement that makes our communities safer, more respectful and inclusive for the growing number of people living with dementia and those who care for them by becoming a friend of dementia. Whitney Oeltmann, co-founder of the Dementia Spotlight Foundation, will lead an information session of Dementia Friends Georgia during this webinar. All attendees will receive a Dementia Friend Handbook (PDF) and attendees living in Georgia will receive a friend dementia certificate.
