BLACKPINK Close DownXPink Venom Top Top Billboard Global 200 for 2 consecutive weeks

Blackpink dominates all the music charts.

On the 3rd (local time), Billboard in the United States released the top chart positions for the first time, compiled from September 23 to 29, through its website and SNS. According to this, the second title song of Blackpink’s regular album, ‘Shut Down’ and the pre-released song, ‘Pink Venom’, ranked 4th and 10th respectively on the Billboard Global 200.

Billboard Global 200 ranks the most popular songs based on streaming and music sales (downloads) collected from over 200 regions of the world. After winning both the 1st and 2nd places on this chart last week, BLACKPINK confirmed their strong global popularity by landing in the top 10 this week as well.

In addition to the Billboard Global 200 chart, Blackpink stayed in the top 5 on the Billboard 200 chart for two consecutive weeks, and also 3rd and 6th on the Billboard Global Excl. The title song of the 2nd full length album ‘Shut Down’ reached 25th place on the main ‘Hot 100’ chart.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is showing great popularity not only on Billboard but also on various global music charts. Along with US Billboard, it topped the official UK chart, known as the world’s two biggest charts, and the weekly Top Songs chart from Spotify, the world’s biggest streaming site.
