Recently, according to foreign media PCGamer, Blizzard confirmed that Geoff Goodman, the main hero designer of “Battle Strike 2”, has left. A Blizzard spokesperson said that Geoff made the decision to leave Blizzard earlier this year, and that his last public appearance was in an interview with the media in June.
Blizzard issued a statement on Geoff Goodman’s passing: “We thank Geoff for his contributions to Blizzard over the years and wish him the best of luck. His ability to bring Blizzard’s diverse roster of heroes to life is incredible. I am confident that the mark on him will be felt on the Warcraft and Battlefield teams for years to come.”
Geoff Goodman helped remake Doomfist and Orissa in Doom, and designed some of Doom 2’s heroes, such as the new heroes Sojourn and Junker Queen. Blizzard did not reveal the reason for Geoff’s departure, but his departure will definitely have some effect on “Strike 2”.
