Burger King will host an all-you-can-eat burger challenge this weekend

It’s been six years since Burger King Japan offered an all-you-can-eat deal, but now the burger chain is back with a challenge worthy of the nation’s competitive food champions. For a fixed price of ¥1,900, you will receive a medium sized drink of your choice (with free refills), medium fries and all the burgers you can eat in 45 minutes. The burger in question is the “Maximum Super One Pound Beef Burger,” which was briefly on Burger King Japan’s menu for six days in July.

The monstrous burger consists of four fire-grilled meatballs along with all the classic toppings including cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. Just one of these burgers weighs 499 grams and has a whopping 2046 calories. Think you can handle more than one? Good luck – you have to finish everything before requesting another one and the last order must be placed within 30 minutes of starting the challenge.

This is a limited time offer that will only last until September 22nd at Burger King’s headquarters in Ochanomizu Saint Clair (it’s right next to Ochanomizu station). So if you’re playing, make sure you get there before the long holiday weekend ends. The challenge is available seven times a day – 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM – with a limit of ten people per slot. The shop will sell tickets to attend the event, which must be purchased in person.
