The Shanghai Composite Index, China’s stock markets opened negative today. After Chinese health officials confirmed that China will continue to adhere to the Zero Covid Policy.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 3,062.86, down 7.94, or -0.25%.
Hu Xiang, an official with the Office of Disease Prevention and Control of the National Health Commission (NHC), said on Saturday (November 5) that the nationwide COVID-19 epidemic, China still has to adhere to its zero tolerance policy. He also said that the implementation of the policy was proven to be the most cost-effective and effective.
