CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Release) – Laramie County Community College and other sponsors host the virtual Fair of resources for the treatment of dementia Saturday 1 August 2020, from 9:00 to 15:30. The event is free and open to anyone who offers assistance to those living with Alzheimer’s disease or any dementia.
The Resource Fair will present two main speakers: at 9:00 in the morning, the geriatrician Dr. Cara Johnson will talk about the different types of dementia and the diagnosis process. At 12:30, the second keynote will be held by medical social worker Carol Taylor on the subject Off & Running: the motto of the assistance partner.
Other presentations include:
A “brain tour” and an explanation of dementia by neurologist Dr. Tracie Caller; Payment issues Medicare, Medicaid and long term care by Charlie Simeneo; Dementia-related behaviors presented by Natalie Cheevers, RN; Tips for successful communication by Carol Taylor; is Nutrition for those who live with dementia dietitian Anna Hambright.
