The Associated Press reported that the meat packing plant had been idle since April 6, when the company announced that more than two dozen workers were infected with the virus.
The company announced Monday that it will continue to suspend the plant this week after more workers test positive.

The 38,000 square foot expansion project of the Poseidon barge in Bern was approved this week by the Bern Planning Commission
Construction is expected to start this month and be completed in late July.
Poseidon’s operations are located at 725 Chemin Parr.
A McDonald’s restaurant in China has been temporarily closed after trying to ban black people due to the pandemic.
Located in Guangzhou, the restaurant posted a sign saying, “We have been informed that blacks are no longer allowed into the restaurant,” the BBC reported on Tuesday.
McDonald’s told the New York Post that the store was quickly closed when it became aware of the disturbing notice and that the restaurant’s apparent ban on blacks was “not representative” of the company’s values.
Only a handful
Only a handful of COVID-19 test centers at Walmart, Walgreens and CVS Health are now operating.
Business Insider said Walmart currently has four open coronavirus test sites.
It plans to have more than 20 coronavirus test sites operating in at least 10 states by the end of April.
Walgreens said it plans to open 15 driving test sites across seven states.
The company hoped to test up to 3,000 people a day.
CVS has opened three driving rapid test sites in Georgia, Massachusetts and Rhode Island in collaboration with federal and state officials, a company spokesperson told Business Insider.
Still the lowest
Although unemployment rates are increasing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mercer County had the lowest unemployment rate in Ohio before the virus hit.
The February rate for Mercer County was 3.1%. The Ohio rate for the same period was 4.1%.
The First Bank of Bern’s acquisition of the Adams County Credit Union is now complete.
Announced for the first time in October, this acquisition has been reviewed by regulatory authorities.
The credit union has its head office in Monroe.
The colorful restaurant entrepreneur Jimmie Schindler died on March 26 in Fort Wayne. Originally from Geneva, he owned Jimmie’s Pizza in Portland in the 1970s and 1980s.

The city of Geneva has been selected for a Make It Hour Own Mural Fest in northeast Indiana, the Adams County Economic Development Corporation announced.

Artists can apply to participate on www.NEImuralfestival.com until the end of May.
A jury will then select artists who will make murals over an 11-day period from September 8 to 18.
