Dinesh Karthik has replaced Pant and Axar Patel has replaced Ashwin. Deepak Hoodak also failed to find a place in Jaffer’s XI.

Rahul, Rohit, Virat and Suryakumar will be in the top order while Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik and Axar Patel will be in the middle order. In the lower order, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Jasprit Bumrah and Chahal have also found a place in Jaffer’s XI.

The second match of the series is on September 23. The venue is Nagpur. The third and final match of the India-Australia series will be played on September 25 in Hyderabad.

After Australia’s tour of India, South Africa are also touring India. The Proteas tour of India will consist of three T20Is and three ODIs.

The first match is in T20 format on September 28. Thiruvananthapuram’s Kariyavattam Stadium is the venue for the first T20I. The remaining two matches of the T20 series will be played in Guwahati and Indore on October 2 and October 4.
