Alexis Trotter, the granddaughter of Loretta Moody, is speaking out about the tragedy. She is urging the public to remember her grandmother’s life rather than focusing solely on the brutal circumstances of her death.
Trotter described her grandmother as a loving, spunky, and lively person for whom family meant everything.
“This is just evil. There’s no other word for it,” Trotter said. “She wouldn’t want to be known as the person who showed up in a suitcase at a fire station. She would be wanting to be known as the loving woman she was, a loving grandmother and a loving great-grandmother.”
Community Urged to Help With Memorial and Investigation
In the wake of the tragedy, Moody’s family has established a GoFundMe page to assist with memorial and funeral expenses.
