The Fantastic Four is one of the oldest and most famous teams in Marvel Comics. Debuting in Fantastic Four Vol.1 # 1 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the founding members of the team are Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and The Thing. Over the years, the team’s lineup has changed, members have been temporarily replaced for various reasons, and the Richards-Storm family itself has grown.

Some of these characters, like She-Hulk, have made a name for themselves as iconic members of the team, despite being not original. While some aren’t as widely associated with the team, they still deserve recognition for their contribution to the Fantastic Four.

10 ice Man

A character most often associated with the X-Men and sometimes Spider-Man, Iceman also has a history with the Fantastic Four. Bobby Drake first met the team when he was a student at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. His further history with the team remained unknown until recently and was first brought to light when he was brought up to fight the Griever and the Endlings as Mister Fantastic called all past members to the Fantastic Four to help. . Although the exact story of his first time as a team member is still a mystery, he temporarily replaced the Human Torch and had something to do for Namor.

9 Storm

After Civil war event, Sue Storm and Reed Richards have left the Fantastic Four. This is when the resident goddess of the X-men Ororo Munroe aka Storm became a member of the Fantastic Four, along with her then-husband Black Panther. She and her teammates Black Pather, Human Torch and Thing have faced many enemies, such as the Silver Surfer, a group of Super Skrull, Stardust, Galactus, Titania, Klaw, Hydro-Man, Wizard and Trapster zombies. More recently, Storm was part of the group of mutants who tried to bring Franklin Richards to Krakoa. He has also maintained a close friendship with Sue Storm over the years.

8 Tigra

Tigra may be best known for being a part of the West Coast Avengers, but she was also a part of the Fantastic Four for a short time. She first got involved with the team when she met The Thing and the two of them battled villain Cougar. Later, Tigra attempted to help the original members of the Fantastic Four escape from the Scary Four, only to be captured herself. After escaping, she, Thundra, and Invisible Woman defeated the Brute. He also seemed to have an unstoppable crush on Ben Grimm.

7 Black Panther

King T’Challa, one of Marvel Comic’s most famous characters and A-series star, was first introduced in the pages of Fantastic Four Vol. 1 # 52. This issue also introduced readers to the world of Wakanda. Black Panther then provided the technology to help the team defeat Ulysses Klaw and Doctor Doom. He remained allied with the team, collaborating with them several times afterwards. He replaced Reed Richards after the relapse Civil war arc and was on a Fantastic Four team with Storm, Thing and Human Torch. After leaving the team, Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Valeria Richards, Franklin Richards and the Future Foundation visited Wakanda. Black Panther, Sue Storm, Shuri, Ororo Munroe and Reed Richards teamed up to defeat Anubis during this visit.

6 She-Thing

Sharon Ventura first appeared in What vol. 1 # 27 and was created by Mike Carlin and Ron Wilson. He first met Ben Grimm when they were both part of the motorcycle stunt team called Thunderiders. Given the super strength of the Power Broker, he later joined the Fantastic Four where he developed his similar-to-things powers and appearance.

After joining the team for a series of battles and victories, she left them after Dr. Doom, longtime foe of the Fantastic Four, told Sharon that she would be able to return to her normal state if she helped him. She agreed but later turned it down after reuniting with the Fantastic Four and approaching them again.

5 Nova

Frankie Raye is the stepdaughter of Phineas Horton, known for his invention, the android Jim Hammond, otherwise known as the original Human Torch. Like many of the replacement members of the Fantastic Four, she was Johnny Storm’s girlfriend at the time. Frankie’s stepfather forced her to forget her powers, but she soon rediscovered her abilities. He then fought alongside the Fantastic Four as the fifth member, replacing no one this time. Frankie later left the team and became a herald of Galactus. He was also part of the Misty Knight and Brunnhilde defense team.

4 Ant man

This pint-sized hero may be closely related to the Avengers, but he has also spent time with the Fantastic Four. Also a brilliant scientist, Ant-Man replaced Mister Fantastic after he was presumed dead. He later joined a Fantastic Four squad consisting of Namorita, She-Hulk and the Human Torch after Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman and The Thing were lost to the Microverse. Mister Fantastic then contacted Scott Lang years later and asked to lead the Future Foundation with Jennifer Walters, Darla Deering and Medusalith Amaquelin. During this time he had his infamous battle with Victor von Doom, which he won.

3 Lyja

A Skrull spy turned hero, Lyja has a complicated history with the Fantastic Four. He initially met the team when he played Ben Grimm’s ex-girlfriend Alicia Masters and began a relationship with Johnny Storm.

Its true nature was later revealed. Subsequently, Lyja left the team to live the life of a human, but later returned until the crisis of the massacre. Since then, she has helped Johnny Storm, Ben Grimm, Franklin Richards and Valeria Richards evacuate to the negative zone during the secret invasion, stayed in the negative zone to act as a protector and become an instructor for the Future Foundation.

2 Namorita

Namorita Prentiss is best known for being a founding and consistent member of the New Warriors. Although her cousin may be a famous foe of the Fantastic Four, Namorita is a hero who served as a member of the team. Her involvement with the Fantastic Four began after she began dating Johnny Storm. The Human Torch formed and led his Four with Namorita, She-Hulk and Ant-Man as teammates when Invisible Woman, Mister Fantastic and Thing became trapped in the Microverse. Eventually, she and Johnny broke up and Namorita left the team. However, he is still one of the best members the Fantastic Four have ever had.

1 Moon girl

Lunella Lafayette, aka Moon Girl, a young inhuman super-genius, is the last person to join the Fantastic Four. When Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Valeria Richards and Franklin Richards were off the planet, Lunella met Human Torch and Thing. She and Devil Dinosaur joined the team during the Fantastic Three arch of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur Vol. 1., to help Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm defeat the Omnipotentis and Super Skrull Kl’rt. Lunella met with the Richards-Storm family after they returned from space at a Yancy Street neighborhood party. He also challenged Mister Fantastic to a series of academic tests which showed he was indeed smarter than him.
