FIFA has granted the Lisbon Sporting Club the right to complain against Zamalek over a deal that included Mahmoud Abdel-Razek “Shikabala”. According to a report published by the Portuguese newspaper “Ricord”.
FIFA pointed out that the right to the Portuguese team, and thus Sporting will receive half a million euros in addition to the interest.
Shekabala joined Sporting Lisbon on the last day of the 2014 winter transfer market for up to 300,000 euros, according to the report, “but after a year and a half of disputes he returned to Zamalek.” According to the report.
In 2016, Sporting went to FIFA to complain to Zamalek “for not complying with the planned agreement between the two parties”, when the 34-year-old left the Portuguese team to his Egyptian counterpart.
After 4 years of complaint, FIFA’s response came to the fact that Zamalek had been fined half a million euros in interest, due to the failure of the white knight to comply with his agreement with Sporting.
Shikabala returned to Zamalek in August 2015 before being loaned for half a season to Ismaili, then loaned again to the pioneer, then to the Greek Apollon Smyrnis team and currently wearing the white knight cap.
During his time with Sporting Lisbon, Shikabala played one match for the first team jersey and five games for the reserve team.
