Former Adele trainer discusses weight loss and “fatty phobia charges” over photo showing her transformation

Must Read

Adele received great attention for a photo and a message that she posted on Instagram to mark his 32nd birthday this week. In the message, she congratulated the front line workers – but the photo is what started an online conversation. The photo revealed that Adele lost a lot of weight and that many commentators congratulated her, others criticized the emphasis on her physical appearance.

Now Adele’s former trainer, Pete Geracimo, talks about the star’s transformation, saying it was “never about getting super skinny. It was about finding her healthy.”

In an article posted to Instagram on Thursday, Geracimo said “it is disheartening to read negative comments and phobic accusations questioning the authenticity of his incredible weight loss.”

As Adele’s former personal trainer in London, it is disheartening to read negative comments and phobic accusations questioning the authenticity of her incredible weight loss. In my personal experience of working with her through many ups and downs, she has always walked to the beat of her own drum on her own terms. She never in any way undermined her God-given talent. She let her incredible voice speak, or should I say sing! She never claimed to be something she was not. What you saw is what you got. And we all loved it! When Adele and I started our journey together, it was never about getting super skinny. It was a question of putting her back in good health. Especially after pregnancy and after surgery. When 25 people dropped out and the tour was announced, we had to prepare for a grueling 13-month schedule. Meanwhile, she warmed up during training and made better food choices. As a result, she lost considerable weight and people noticed it. His bodily transformation has been splashed in all media. The attention it received was breathtaking. Since moving to Los Angeles, it has been well documented that she has undergone difficult personal changes. It is only natural that the change gives a new sense of self and that you want to be your best version possible. She has adopted better eating habits and is committed to her physical form and “sweating”! I couldn’t be more proud or happier for her! This makeover is not for album sales, advertising or to be a model. She does it for herself and for Angelo. I hope people appreciate the hard work Adele has done to improve for the benefit of herself and her family only. She did not lose weight so that the others felt bad about themselves. This personal transformation has nothing to do with me or with you. It’s Adele and how she wants to live her life. She has not changed from Adele with whom we grew up and whom we loved. There is just a little less of it to go around. #adele #fabulous #strong #songbird #transformation #powerful #voice #love #rumorhasit #pt

The London-based trainer wrote that he worked with the singer after pregnancy and surgery after a 13-month “grueling program”. He said that with exercise and better food choices, Adele lost a lot of weight and people took note of it.

“Her body transformation was splashed in all media. The attention she received was breathtaking,” wrote Geracimo. “Since moving to Los Angeles, it is well known that she has gone through difficult personal changes,” he said.

This attention swelled this week when Adele shared the photo of her in a black dress. There were a lot of comments about her body – which hit the wrong note with some.

“I see Adele trending because people say how beautiful she has been since losing weight. You are all over that point … Your weight does not determine your beauty. Your appearance does not determine your beauty “The number on the scale does not make you worthy or unworthy”, blogger and disability activist Melissa Blake tweeted.

In Geracimo’s Instagram post, he praised Adele’s hard work and commitment to healthy eating and physical fitness. “This metamorphosis is not for album sales, advertising or to be a model. It does it for itself and for [her son] Angelo, “he wrote.

The trainer hopes people appreciate this hard work and understands that she did it for herself: “This personal transformation has nothing to do with me or with you. It’s about Adele and the the way she wants to live her life. She hasn’t changed Adele we grew up with and loved. There is just a little less of her to go around. “

In a message to CBS News, Geracimo said he did not want to answer questions about Adele.
