Franchises eyeing England players: Benstocks to star in IPL auction

MUMBAI: The auction for the next edition of IPL will see bids for English players. A huge auction will be held for Benstock. Stokes played a vital role as England won the title. The star’s one-man performance won England their second T20 title.

Alex Hales was also at Aparaform. Alex Hales leads England’s runners. The T20 World Cup performance also gave the star an advantage in the T20 position. Hales are now in 12th place. Meanwhile, Hales has withdrawn from the IPL. Jos Buttler is also in good form but Rajasthan Royals have retained him. Adil Rashid also shone with the ball. The auction will be held in Kochi on December 23.

Pacer Sam Curran will also shine in the IPL auction. But there are reports that Karan is yet to register his name. Stokes played the IPL for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2021 season. Interestingly, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson was dropped by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Williamson has been part of Hyderabad for the past few seasons. Williamson was not at his best despite taking New Zealand to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. No T20 style batting coming from Williamson. This was also subject to criticism. The teams also released Dwayne Bravo (Chennai Super Kings), Mayank Agarwal (Punjab Kings) and Ajinkya Rahane (Kolkata Knight Riders).
