The statements were delivered through a statement after Senator Uribe, through his Twitter account, mentioned that his former collaborator had to tell “the truth” about the former president’s actions.
“Mrs. María Claudia Daza (Caya) must tell the justice the whole truth; If there is something wrong with me, for the 20 years you have known me, let me say it; Otherwise, if I did not give you a bad example of word or deed, as I affirm, let me say so, ”he pointed out in the trill.
‘Caya’ stated in his five-point statement that “from former President Álvaro Uribe I learned the correct exercise of public office and commitment to society.” In addition, he added that he did not observe in him or in those around him any behavior worthy of reproach or contrary to the Constitution and the law. “He always instilled in me the highest values, applied in my private and public life.”
Daza is currently in foreign territory after he decided to travel, prior to the pandemic, to accompany his daughter at the birth of her grandson. “I have always had in my mind to return to Colombia, where my life is, my roots, as soon as this pandemic that affects the world allows it, I will do so.”
The woman is singled out for holding telephone conversations with the late rancher José ‘Ñeñe’ Hernández, where they mention possible funding for the presidential campaign of current President Iván Duque.
The audios came out after an investigation carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office against the rancher.
