At the National Police Agency inspection held today, opposition lawmakers clashed over a case involving President Yoon Seok-yeol’s wife and Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung.
The People’s Power criticized the police for poorly investigating the Seongnam FC case, while the Democratic Party criticized the police for not having the will to investigate the Yangpyeong Gongheung District.

As soon as the National Police Agency investigation began, the Democratic Party raised suspicions of preferential treatment for the development of the Yangpyeong Gongheung District, where the company was operated by President Yoon Seok-yeol’s wife.
He criticized the police investigation as stagnant, citing the results of the Gyeonggi-do audit which showed that permission and permission privileges had been upheld and that 800 million won for development had not been paid.

“Totally illegal, the audit report has already been released in an almost timely manner, but we are not seeing any progress at all from our National Investigative Headquarters.”

Opposition lawmakers also criticized the police for not forwarding Kim Gun-hee’s fake career case to prosecution.

The People’s Power reported on the ‘suspicion of sponsorship by Seongnam FC’ involving Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung, and noted that the police had initially dismissed the charges as a poor investigation.

Members of the ruling party also mentioned the Eastar Jet recruitment corruption case, which raised suspicions that opposition figures were involved, with former lawmaker Lee Sang-jik at the core.
Previously, the police had acquitted Lee twice before, but the atmosphere has changed recently, with the prosecution requesting an arrest warrant.

In the middle of this, Nam Gu-jun, head of the National Investigation Headquarters, responded, “I understand well” to the opposition lawmaker’s point that caution should be exercised when investigating the MBC investigation related to excommunicating the president’s blasphemy.
