Govee has launched its latest smart lighting lineup at IFA 2026, headlined by the Govee Sky Ceiling Light, an AI-powered fixture designed to adapt to user moods and daily routines, according to reporting by T3. The newly unveiled hardware ecosystem also includes the COB Strip Light 2 Pro, the standard COB Strip Light 2, and the US-only Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro, as detailed by T3 and MacRumors. Artificial intelligence plays a central role across the product updates, utilizing the newly introduced AI Lighting Bot 2.0 to process text, voice, and image commands for customized illumination scenes.

Govee Sky Ceiling Light Brings AI Mood-Responsiveness Indoors

Priced at $399.99, the Govee Sky Ceiling Light is marketed as the industry’s first mood-responsive smart ceiling light, according to T3. The fixture incorporates a specialized 478nm sky-blue spectrum designed to mimic natural daylight, assisting indoor spaces where natural light is limited and supporting the human body’s natural rhythm and alertness. Technical specifications for the ceiling fixture include a white light color temperature range of 1,000K to 10,000K, an output of up to 7,000 lumens, and a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 95, as reported by T3. MacRumors notes that the hardware includes native Matter support for seamless integration into cross-platform smart homes alongside Govee’s DaySync automation feature, which automatically shifts lighting behavior based on local time and weather conditions. The release enters a similar product category to recent offerings from Philips, which introduced skylight fixtures designed to simulate sunlight. However, T3 points out that Philips models rely on a basic remote control with five preset scenes rather than smart connectivity, giving Govee an advantage in wider smart home automation integration. The Govee Sky Ceiling Light launches tomorrow for $399.99 or €399, according to T3.

COB Strip Light Series and Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro

Expanding its linear lighting options, Govee introduced the COB Strip Light 2 Pro and the base COB Strip Light 2, both slated for release tomorrow at $169.99 and $99.99 respectively, per T3 and MacRumors reporting. The Pro variant integrates AI Lighting Bot 2.0, allowing users to converse with the system through multi-turn text or voice prompts to create custom ambient atmospheres for gaming, movie nights, or parties. Hardware specs for the COB Strip Light 2 Pro feature 1,344 LEDs and 16 ICs per meter, paired with Govee’s RGBWWIC technology and LuminBlend+ colour engine to produce smooth color gradients, according to T3. MacRumors adds that the strip utilizes a triple-layer groove design to enhance output consistency across single-color and multi-color setups, while maintaining the same 1,000K to 10,000K color temperature range as the ceiling unit. Rounding out the hardware announcements are the Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro, which launch exclusively in the US on September 7, 2026. Priced at $499.99 for a 100-foot strand and $799.99 for a 200-foot strand, these outdoor lights feature a dual-layer design with two independently controlled chips inside each individual light head. This architecture allows the upper and lower sections to display different colors and lighting effects simultaneously. Like the indoor options, the outdoor system integrates with AI Lighting Bot 2.0.
