A 30-year-old man, Son Mo, was arrested on the 29th for murdering a 74-year-old building owner in a gosiwon in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul.

Judge Kim Sang-woo of the Seoul Central District Court in charge of warrants issued a warrant saying, “There is a risk of running away” after questioning the suspect before his arrest (examination of the validity of the warrant).

Mab is accused of murdering Mr. And, the owner of the building where he lived, on the morning of the 27th, from stealing Mr. A, bank book, and money of about 100,000 won. On the day of the crime, police arrested Son at a sauna in Seongdong-gu.

The police applied for an arrest warrant for robbery and murder, believing that Son had committed the crime for money and other items belonging to Mr. A. Son responded, “I’m sorry” to a reporter’s question if he had anything to say to the bereaved family while attending the warrant’s substantive examination.

It is said that Son, who was a long-term tenant of the gosiwon run by Mr. And, stated that he committed the crime for money during a police investigation. It was also confirmed that Son first visited A the day before the offence. A police officer said, “Further investigation is needed as a whole as to why Son visited Mr A the day before.”
