CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) – Due to recent and additional COVID-19 exposures among Harrison County Courthouse staff, the facility will continue to operate with limited public access throughout next week to essential emergency functions only.
Unless canceled earlier, this limited access is scheduled to continue until 9am on Oct. 12, the County Commission said in a press release.
For departments and non-judicial matters (councilor, tax office, county employee, county commission, grants, IT and planning / permits), call the appropriate office before going to court.
For hearings, proceedings or scheduled functions with departments and judicial matters (ward court, ward clerk, family court, magistrates’ court, and probation department), you may need to check the status of the business. Not taking on judicial duties are canceled, officials said.
The regular Harrison County Commission meeting scheduled for 10am next Wednesday will continue as scheduled with very limited in-person public access. Individuals should plan to observe and / or participate via Zoom. No public appointments will be scheduled for this meeting.
