For ten years, viewers have been able to cheer on Special Unit Five-0 on its missions to Hawaii. This year ended, however, because the tenth season of “Hawaii Five-0” will be the last. Bad audience ratings are not the reason for this, as the series is the American broadcaster CBS it still makes a lot of money and is even broadcast in over 200 countries. Instead, the producers’ decision to end the series has to do with one of the main actors.

“Hawaii Five-0” has a very special ending

The success of the series should surprise many given this “Hawaii Five-0” a remake of the 1960s production “Hawaii Five-Zero” acts. New editions are often not particularly well received, but the work of producers Peter M. Lenkov, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci was convincing and became a box office hit for the station CBS.

However, the series finale will already take place on Saturday 1 September 29 September 2020. For this, the producers have come up with something very special: the last episode will be included. a duration of functionality of two full hours. That’s why there is no eleventh season of “Hawaii Five-0”

If it were about the number of viewers, it would CBS possibly order multiple seasons of the series. The reason for the cancellation depends on the main actor Alex O’Loughlin (Steve McGarrett) together. He has been suffering from severe back problems for several years. Two years ago it was rumored that O’Loughlin was planning to leave the series. According to Deadline magazine, however, he has only decided to leave this year for health reasons.

The creators also thought about the second main character Damage Williams (Scott Caan) to provide a new partner for further seasons. In the end, however, they preferred to cancel the entire series.

By the way: The zombie hit “The Walking Dead” has also been canceled, but there’s good news.
