Over the past 24 hours, 242 cases of contamination with the new coronavirus have been confirmed, bringing the total to 50,509 in Belgium. More than half of the new infections (150) were recorded via conventional channels while 92 infections were detected in nursing homes. A total of 456,194 tests have been carried out since the start of the epidemic, including 15,494 in the past 24 hours.
In the map and table below, you can see how many people have tested positive in your municipality since the start of the epidemic in Belgium, to date.
Please note, if your municipality is grayed out, the number of cases is less than 5. For the table, you can sort the list by clicking on “Municipalities”.
Note that the number of cases detected is lower than the reality of the number of people carrying the virus in Belgium. With us, screening is not generalized. These figures therefore do not include the least serious cases or asymptomatic patients.
Two additional graphs: the percentage of cases in relation to the number of inhabitants of each municipality and the evolution curve of the number of tests carried out per day.
