The Ministry of Labor did not support the proposal of the Children’s Ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova to extend payments in the amount of 10 thousand to families with children 16 and 17 years old. It is reported RIA Novosti.
“With renewed vigor we began to receive requests to increase the age of recipients of a lump sum payment of 10 thousand rubles to 18 years. We appealed to the government about this, ”said Kuznetsova.
Her appeal was transferred to the Ministry of Labor, where they replied that for children from 16 years old there is an employment opportunity. Such an argument did not suit the Commissioner for the Rights of the Child in Russia. It is noted that the proposal Kuznetsova supported in the State Duma and Federation Council.
June 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the second lump sum payment of 10 thousand rubles to families with children under 16 years of age. Such a support measure will affect families in which about 28 million children are growing together.
From June 1, by order of Putin, the Russians began to pay 10 thousand rubles for children under 16 years of age. Payments have become part of a package of measures to support citizens in times of crisis and the coronavirus pandemic.
