Tehran: Anti-hijab protests are getting stronger in Iran. It is said that school children started the protest. A video of a group of children hurling stones and bottles at the officer who came to persuade the children to remove their hijab at a school in Karaj has surfaced on social media. The female students send the officer back with a shout of shame at you.

In the eastern city of Shiraz, scores of schoolgirls blocked traffic and took to the streets in an anti-hijab protest on Monday. The protest was by removing the hijab and waving it in the air. There are reports of female students taking part in protests in the northwestern cities of Saqqez and Sanandaj, as well as in the capital, Tehran. According to reports, children who called Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khamenei a dictator, took off their hijab and protested in front of his picture.
