The brutality took place in Kochi, where police say there is 24-hour surveillance. A girl was gang-raped for three and a half hours on a public street in a busy city, including at night, but the police didn’t notice it. The city of Kochi has become the capital of deadly drug use and related crimes. How can the Home Department and the police stand idly by when such crimes are repeated so often?
