Joko Start – Wimbledon | Djokovic

London: First seed Novak Djokovic, who overcame a Korean challenge, advanced to the second round of the Wimbledon men’s singles. South Korea’s Sun Woo Kwon lost a set, but Serbia’s Joko won (6–3, 3–6, 6–3, 6–4). Retaliated. But the twenty-four-year-old was no longer able to hold his own against Joko, who grew stronger as the match progressed. After a five-set battle, Spain’s Carlos Alcaras advanced to the second round (4–6,7–5,4–6,7–6,6–4), beating Germany’s Jan Leonard Stroof.

In the women’s event, Britain’s 19-year-old Emma Radukanu and Tunisian’s Ons Jaber won.

This is Djokovic’s 80th victory at Wimbledon. Joko became the first player to complete 80 victories at four Grand Slam championships.
