Controversy over ‘private hiring’ in the presidential office is getting bigger and bigger.
Mr. Woo said that he was recommended by Kwon Seong-dong, acting leader of the People’s Power, and was hired as an administrative agent in the presidential office.
However, it turned out that Woo’s father was a member of the constituency election commission for acting Kwon.
Democrats strongly criticized whether it was a conflict of interest.

Woo Mo, the son of President Yoon Seok-yeol’s Gangneung acquaintance, was hired as a 9th-level administrative agent in the presidential office.
Controversy over ‘private hiring’ arose when it was revealed that he had paid 10 million won to President Yoon during the presidential election.
Then, Acting Representative Kwon Seong-dong, the People’s Power, hurriedly started the evolution.
Acting Kwon met with reporters yesterday afternoon and said, “I know Mr. Woo well from a young age and I have enough capabilities.”
He also said, “It’s not a high position, and I entered the 9th grade administrative staff, but what are you doing with that?”
He further explained the process in detail, saying, “I asked the former chief of staff, Jang Je-won, and he said that he did not put it in the presidential office, so he pressured me to put it in.”
He also added, “I thought I would put it in 7th grade, but I put it in 9th grade, and Mr. Woo gets about 100,000 won more than the minimum wage. .
Then, through his SNS, he mentioned Park Seong-min, a former youth secretary of the Blue House under the Moon Jae-in government, and asked, “Is it fair recruitment to appoint a 25-year-old young man as the first-class secretary of the Blue House?”
He insisted that Mr. Woo’s recruitment was a fair one, but the controversy only grew.
Initially, it was confirmed that the father of President Yoon and Kwon’s Gangneung acquaintance, Woo’s father, was not only the president of a small business, but also a member of the Gangneung City Election Commission, which is Kwon’s constituency.
The Democratic Party launched an offensive, calling it a ‘recruitment farm’.

“If you are asked to hire a child of a local election commissioner who is supposed to be neutral, and you exert pressure on private hiring (on the presidential office), you can’t help but be suspicious of a solicitation that may cause a conflict of interest.”
Acting Kwon’s side did not give any additional stance on this, and the people’s power should closely examine whether there is a conflict of interest, but countered that there is no problem with the hiring process of the presidential office itself.
