The U.S. Treasury has released a list of those who have received Payroll Protection Program (PPP) grants. After reading some of the well-connected names, I’m sure once again politicians have been excluded from politicians. A program designed to help small business owners quickly dedicate themselves to funds for well connected. There are many names of politicians on the list. The law firm representing President Trump is named as a multi-million dollar recipient.
We believe that these well-connected deals would not have made it for a few months without a bailout. One of the largest law firms in the cold country can’t make it without a grant. The largest cinema chain, Regal, has fallen into disrepair. Car dealers belonging to families of senators and representatives all seemed to be saved from a total financial disaster with federal funds. If you are a small coffee shop owner who has laid off some minimum earnings, you probably don’t qualify, while the million dollar business has raised funds up to several million dollars.
There are now reasons to have another round on the pretext that it will be for those fired. Of course, even these well-connected will benefit. Don’t worry about complaining to the crew in Washington, DC; they will give you a line on how these have all been to save the country. Meanwhile, those small shops around Anchorage are failing while the unemployed have run out of allowances.
