Liverpool have been invited to join Bayern Munich in the race to sign Leroy Sane of Manchester City this summer.
The German giants of Bayern made no secret of their desire to bring Sane back to his homeland, City preparing for the possibility of losing the winger, estimated at £ 90 million.
Healthy resumed training recently after being sidelined since he suffered a cruciate ligament injury in City Shield’s victory over City Shield against Liverpool at the start of the season.
Before his injury, he was a key player for City, helping them win seven major honors in two seasons, including successive Premier League titles, and scoring 39 goals in 134 games for the club.
And Mills says that the victorious experience of the 24-year-old German international gives him the advantage over Traoré.
“Adama Traoré is making a lot of headlines because of his pace and his power, but to get into a winning team, to replace someone like Sadio Mane or [Mohamed] Salah – I don’t think he’s there yet, “said the city’s former right-back. Football Insider.
“Someone like Leroy Sane – maybe. He’s coming back from an injury and has been linked to a move recently and may be in surplus.
“He is young, talented and experienced. It would be more realistic but I do not know if Manchester City would sell to its rivals.”
Sane’s contract with City expires at the end of next season, so City may have to accept a price for him this summer rather than losing it for nothing next year.
The fast winger is an undeniable talent, but must face the competition for a place on the left flank of City of Raheem Sterling.
Sane would face competition similar to Liverpool from Mane, but could be targeted with an eye on the future and provide support to the Senegalese international.
