President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed dissatisfaction that natural gas is supplied from Russia to his country at higher prices than to the European Union.
“Well this is not the case, I’m not talking about the year of the 75th anniversary [победы в Великой Отечественной войне]that Germany sell natural gas up to $ 70 [за 1 тыс. куб. м]as I have information (it was different there), but not $ 127, just like for Belarus, ”Lukashenka said at a meeting with Prime Minister Sergei Rumas.
The President noted that he had already raised the issue of the difference in gas prices for Belarus and Europe at video conferences within the EAEU, but received information about maintaining the status quo.
“Yesterday I received information that Russia sells natural gas in Europe during this difficult time, up to $ 70: $ 65–68, but not $ 127, as for Belarus. What is the situation and situation here, what can we expect in the future? I would like to know what has been done so far to reduce the price of natural gas for Belarus, ” quotes the press service of the President of Belarus his words addressed to the head of government.
