How excited are you about “DUNE 2021”?

  1. I risk Rona for a first midnight Thursday IMAX without a mask with all the BigBangTheory fanboyz
  2. Great, Timothee Chalamet gets the Kyle MacLachlan Oscar for pure hair
  3. Meh, Sean Young> Zendaya, I’ll wait for the cable
  4. No, I resisted for a mid-1980s Wierding module because my FTRS handle is a killer word.
  5. Hell no, I’d rather take my hand off Tre Swilling’s pain box and have his dad hit me with a retarded Gom Jabar on the back.

Ben: I’ve never read the novel, but everything I’ve heard about it makes me so much more excited. I’d say right now, it’s probably the film I’m looking forward to.

Akshay: The novel was a little ahead of my time, but the movie looks really funny. I just don’t plan a visit to the theater in my future for that, given, you know, [gestures widely at everything outside].

Jake: Josie is back. It means she is excited. I have no opinions. Lol. Anything about eclipses? I don’t know guys, I’m out of my wheelhouse. It looks like some big names, though. We average 2.5 between us.

Carter:

Chau: Uhh, yeah.

Wima13 is 1 – 0 in its prediction

Ben: Since you’ve given an answer, do I have to answer with a question?

Jake: Congratulations!

Carter: Sir, you have a question, otherwise I’ll have to ask you to go back to your seat

Have you already bought your CFP tickets?

Ben: Real fans bought tickets this time last week.

Jake: I’m still licking my wounds from missing the Final Four, really.

Will we see Bruce in a yellow jacket again? Where was Antonneous Clayton in this first game? Is it true that Tre had to give up the FSU game to go to the disco?

Ben: Honestly, I’m not entirely sure. It certainly benefits from this year not counting for its suitability. With Tech’s depth in running back, he’s not in a good position to break the line-up. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him move to a G5 or FCS school after this year. As for Clayton and Tre, see Jake’s answer below.

Jake: If we’re as weak in RB this week as some people seem to think, we might as well see it on Saturday. But I’m not sure. Clayton, meanwhile, had a dusty, looked like a left leg injury, and (apparently) will be back in 2-3 weeks. And for Three, I hadn’t heard it. We are at the peak of the season of forum speculation. I saw someone comment on Facebook asking if Gibbs had a broken ankle. Get the drift. Some big thing happened, it’s hard to get rid of the interference.

What is the current status of each ACC team regarding the coronavirus?

Carter: Virginia Tech – bad! All others – ¯ _ (ツ) _ / ¯

Jake: It looks like most of it is hanging there, and then the VPISU guys are all out … doing what, exactly? It’s not like there is a MARTA for them that revolve around a group of other people, or anything like that.

Akshay: We would be able to report this more accurately if the coaches treated COVID more like a public health crisis than a line-up of the injury report and in reality released positive test numbers again, but alas. Carter has the right idea, at least based on what we know right now.

What is Hill / GTAA’s current position regarding tailgating for UCF?

Akshay: Well that’s easy: GTAA doesn’t allow tailgating for the Central Florida game. However, Sugiura points out at the end of the article that “Tech has announced it will continue to monitor the situation throughout the season,” so keep your eyes peeled, I guess.

Jake: 🙁 <- this is how their position makes me feel. Sad.

Carter: They’re against it, but there’s nothing stopping you from tailgating outside my house. (Note: Under no circumstances should you try to open the tailgate outside my home.)

How will the offensive game plan change for UCF?

Ben: UCF’s defensive line isn’t half that of FSU’s, so if Jeff Sims is our main rusher again, I’m not saying I’ll be disappointed, but I think it would be a missed opportunity.

Jake: Based on their defense, throwing it in the gut might not be a horrible idea, but I’m not too sure we’ll have to do a massive overhaul either.

Will we have more blocked / lost field goals or successful 4th down conversions?

Ben: This assumes that Geoff Collins tries on the fourth down.

Akshay: This analytics nerd really hopes he’s the second and not the first.

Jake: yells internally

What insane event of 2020 will happen before kick-off that will cancel the game?

Well: check the time uhh …..

Akshay: Central Florida will again be saved from a hurricane.

Jake: It would be fun if it weren’t so accurate.

I was just reading that Kelley was the HS National Kicker of the Year. Do kickers never get scholarships? Why is it a breeze if he won this achievement? If he was the best kicker in the nation, why did he receive interest ONLY from Furman and Marshall? I’m glad he hit the last one, of course, but more curious about how kickers are recruited.

Chau: Resident kicking expert here. Most kick recruiting services only rank the guys who actually come to attend their camp, so he’s not necessarily winning that award across the country, just guys who’ve gone to the same camps he did. I have to say though, Chris Sailer (the kicking serve he won) is pretty respected in this world, so it’s not a prize for participation.

As for kickers getting scholarships, don’t ask me I’m the wrong person for it.

Jake: I seem to remember that it was a great deal that we offered Bulovas or whatever his name was that happened in Alabama. Side note: very good it did him …

Will GT fans be as bad as FSU fans wearing the masks for Saturday’s game?

Akshay: I hope not, but we’re talking about college students … [ignores that he just received his degree not so long ago]

Carter: I’d like to think your average Georgia Tech fan is taking this sort of thing a little more seriously than your average Florida Man. But considering how many people I’ve seen around the city don’t wear them, I don’t feel great.

Jake: Campus has a pretty universal rate of wearing masks among students and staff. It’s all the rest of the people who come from nowhere (including other damned Florida ones) that make me nervous. I’ve always been on the “student only” bandwagon, though … but it’s probably a hot take for another time.

What do you think we’ll likely see Dave Patenaude add to his basic attack for the UCF game (as well as calling the basic attack from the FSU game)?

Ben: I think you will see more action with running backs, especially if Gibbs plays this week.

Where is Jahmyr Gibbs? Is he injured or something?

Carter: Early rumors said he didn’t make the trip to Tallahassee, but he was seen on the sidelines, not in the paddocks. It’s a mistery! * ghostly ghost noises *

Will the Big Ten jump straight into the polls, kick us out?

Ben: I don’t think they will come into play right away, but after a week of actual play, I could see some teams (at least Ohio State) take out others.

Akshay: Probably – in full respect of our performance on Saturday, we are probably just that high in both the coaches and the AP polls because there are currently 54 teams not playing.

Carter: We all know the pollsters are a Georgia Tech HATERZ group.

Jake: I’ll believe they’re back when I see him. Also, Carter jokes but watches the media against the coaches. Once again, the coaches gave more than the jackets.

I was very excited by the results of Saturday’s match. I was concerned after our first year of transitioning from flexbone that it would take Geoff Collins many years to build a competitive team. While I still see Georgia Tech as developing, I’m happy with the performance I’ve seen, especially from Sims at QB and Defense in general, against FSU. Winning around 6 games could be a possibility this season with our schedule, we hope to get a similar result against the UCF to confirm the hope our fans feel right now.

Anyway, my question is who killed Tupac and why would anyone do it? It’s really messed up.

Jake: Killing someone is ugly and sad and all of these things. Did you know that Jim Boeheim once hit a boy? That was bad too. Really a shame whenever someone goes too early. Tupac definitely has a lot of weird rumors about his continuing, uh, existence, though.

Akshay: What are you talking about? Looks like Tupac is still alive enough for me.

Any thoughts on gambling injuries? What is the state of Swilling?

Ben: Just like any athletic association, Georgia Tech are pretty in awe about injuries, so nothing has been confirmed for most of the players who got injured on Saturday. The only confirmation I’ve seen is for TK Chimedza, who is confirmed out for the entire season:
