The head of government demanded not to confuse regional powers with federal ones. According to him, measures should be adequate to the situation.
The head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, during a government meeting that was broadcast by RBC, announced the inadmissibility of overlapping administrative borders in certain regions. According to him, the corresponding signals of the federal government on the weekend were heard.
According to the prime minister, President Vladimir Putin gave the regions additional powers to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, but they must be adequate to the situation and the measures that the central authorities are introducing.
As Mishustin noted, precedents were revealed last week when the leadership of some regions closed administrative borders, blocking the passage of people and vehicles to their territory. “Signals from the government about the inadmissibility of such decisions were heard, and the situation improved over the weekend,” he said.
“Do not confuse regional powers with federal ones,” Mishustin added.
The prime minister also criticized those regional leaders who impede the work of delivery services, stop trucks at the entrance to the regions, interfere with couriers and close points of delivery. “It is simply unacceptable to complicate the work of online trading with unjustified prohibitions. It is necessary to establish clear and reasonable rules for the companies that are currently running this business, ”the prime minister said.
