London – The funeral procession carrying the body of Queen Elizabeth arrived in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. The body was taken by car from Balmoral Palace in Scotland to Holyrood House in Edinburgh. The march started at 10am local time and took more than six hours to reach Edinburgh. Thousands took to the streets of Scotland to pay their respects to the Queen.

The Queen’s coffin wreath was made with flowers from Balmoral Palace. The body will lie in state tonight at Holyrood House after a guard of honour. He will go to St Silyn’s Cathedral on Monday afternoon. There will be an opportunity for members of the public to pay their respects. Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward are also in Edinburgh. King Charles III, who is in London, will arrive in Edinburgh on Monday.

The Queen died at Balmoral Palace on Thursday. Funeral services will be held on September 19 at 11 am in Westminster Abbey. Prime Minister Liz Truss will join King Charles III at the Queen’s memorial services. India mourned the death of the queen on Sunday. The national flag was flown at half mast as a sign of respect for the Queen. All government festive programs have been canceled today.
