Alappuzha: Alappuzha’s Marya Roney has been selected to represent Karnataka in the table tennis team and is doubling an event at the 2022 National Games in Gujarat. Junior Asian gold medalist Yashaswini Ghorpade, Kushi.V, Anargya Manjunath and Samyukta are co-stars. She will take part in the combined women’s doubles as she finished in the last eight at the Senior National Championships in Shillong in April this year. Karnataka number one Rakshit Barigidad will compete in mixed doubles. This is the second time in a row that Maria Roney has taken part in the National Games. Table Tennis will be held in Surat between 20 and 24 September.
