New businesses increased by 1.9% thanks to the promotion of wholesale and retail new businesses by the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and New Businesses.

Total new businesses fell by 4.6% (49,601) compared to the same period last year, but actual new businesses, excluding the real estate business, where business registrations increased after 2020, increased by 1.9% (15,482).

In particular, thanks to the invigoration of online shopping, the number of wholesale and retail business start-ups increased by 8.1%, and the personal service business also increased by 0.5% due to the full lifting of social distancing (22.4.25.).
