Bipedal dinosaur with thimble-like fingers roamed the Asian coast 66 to 145 million years ago, according to a new study. The dinosaur, which lived during the Cretaceous, was identified from a fossil found on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido. Researchers in the United States and Japan have said that this is the first fossil found in Asia in marine debris.

According to the study, this dinosaur belongs to a species known as the herbivorous Teresinosaurs. The most notable of these are the sword-like claws. Researchers say that instead of catching prey, they used it to chop vegetables.

ഈ “These dinosaurs used their claws for food. Did they use their claws close to their mouths to eat shrubs and trees,” said the researchers.
